Thank you for attending today's Preschool Interactive!

Our early literacy skill was: Narrative skills; expressive language, including being able to describe things, tell events in order, and to retell stories.

You can practice this skill at home by telling stories! Do you have a favorite holiday story, perhaps a family story or a picture book? Tell your kids stories while driving in the car, getting ready for bed, or walking together and then encourage them to tell the stories back to you.

Our stories today included:
Millie in the snow by Alexander Steffensmeier
Who would like a Christmas tree by Ellen Obed
Christmas Wombat by Jackie French
Minerva Louise on Christmas Eve by Janet Stoeke

Our songs and rhymes included:
Five little cookies http://tinyurl.com/at4nryf
Five little snowmen http://tinyurl.com/d2qom5h

More stories and songs to try at home: Look for more holiday stories on the display by the tree and at the back of the library by the family restroom.

Our take home craft is: snowman

You will need: Glue, markers or crayons
Glue the cotton to your snowman and add details with markers or crayons. Punch a hole in the top and tie on the ribbon.
