A little girl sings the Brand-New Baby Blues, lamenting all the ways her life has gotten worse since she gained a baby brother. As she complains, she gradually realizes the baby is kind of cute and then decides that it might be fun to have a baby brother after all.The number of new sibling books is legion and while this story is cute and sweet and the pictures are appealing, it just doesn't stand out. The girl's change in perspective is rather abrupt with no reason given except that she notices the baby is cute and her parents reassure her that she is special also.
