This week at the library; or, Week 10 of the pandemic

This is everything in my hallway waiting to be dealt with.

We have divided all the staff into two teams, working one week on and one week off, to cut down on cross contamination and the possibility of the entire staff being quarantined. This is my last week "on" and I really need a break - I've worked around 50 hours per week for the last couple weeks, trying to get everything ready for summer and deal with all the rapid changes. Two staff, one of mine and one I borrowed from circulation, started distributing summer reading and Library on the Go materials at food service this week, and summer reading materials were available to patrons for request, although we will not advertise this until next week and teen and adult SRP will not be starting until mid-June.

    • Dealing with all the weekend's emails and patron requests
    • Manager's meeting
    • 2-5:30, backup at the library, pretty much answered the phone non-stop but managed to buy some more maker kits materials and handle a few more patron materials requests.
  • Tuesday
    • Catching up on emails, all the little things, working on May orders and the stacks of materials in my hallway that need to be processed through. Also webinar and severe sinus headache. Just a really fun day.
