This week at the library; or, Week 19 of the pandemic

I found a cool beetle (well, my mom saw it first, but I picked it up!)

 a hermit flower beetle, Osmoderma eremicola

I have been working a lot of extra hours and I am trying to cut back to a more normal 40. I was at the library five days this week, although only a few of those were full days. It looks like we may open the youth services area to browsing by appointment only in August, so I had a lot of work to prepare for that as well. I made it out in 43 hours, thanks to everything that could possibly go wrong on Saturday going wrong.

• Projects worked on or completed this week
• Organizing all the materials in the Storyroom so staff can put together activity packs
• Last bout of cleaning out the basement and making room for storing furniture and toys
• Continuing to update circulating toys
• Working on fall programming themes and activities
• Continuing to update and adapt plans for reopening (or not) in the fall, working to get some school and community people together to do a homeschooling presentation.
