I am tired. I took some time off last week and we were closed for Monday, but I essentially worked straight through Monday-Saturday this week and I've got some other stuff I'm dealing with, so it was a lot. My excellent new associate handled her first marathon of outreach storytimes like a pro, I took my collection of D&D kids on a journey through Cursed Candyland, had two new attendees at Fact Finders, attended an all-day workshop, almost two-hour managers' meeting (we're getting ready for a new strategic plan) and after an initially stressful beginning with a slow trickle of people we netted 200 attendees at Life-Size Candyland over the course of five hours. My colleague in adult services handled the set-up for What's Next? a parents' group from our county special education school that focuses on opportunities after high school, I set up a time in February to sew with the girl scouts, a very nice small group that meets regularly at the library, a huge chunk of my huge orders came in and I did a marathon of unboxing videos, and now my feet hurt and I am very tired. We're running Life-Size Candyland for three more hours Monday morning, then I have the afternoon to catch up, and then I have a week off, during which I will *try* to relax.
